What is Paint for Pink?
Art, Education & Health
Paint for Pink is a celebration of art, education and health. The first Paint for Pink was in 2015 with a group of 12 street artists and friends painting in pink spray paint for loved ones affected by breast cancer or some other health related issue.
Paint for Pink has evolved into much more than just painting. The main focus is now teaching health initiatives that educate high school students about health. We do this by using the Certfiably LIT peer to peer teaching method developed by Ironbound USA (the organizer of Paint for Pink). In 2019 we have completed one pilot program about infection control and are currently doing the second pilot about opioid abuse leading a group that includes the DEA, the Rutgers Schools of Nursing & Pharmacy).
